She was able to mix intellectual limitations, true humility yet steadfast faith, joy in her beliefs amidst rampant skepticism and to hold you on course for the entire film. No matter how many times you view Bernadette's story, you always are amazed at Jennifer's commanding presence. If I write a 95% test I get a 5, if I score ten extra points, I'll also get a 5. Jennifer is a 95% 5, Ingrid is a 300%. :)dinasztiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17418227830861757663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14626381454085139.post-3062221559852349512011-08-16T00:42:49.577+02:002011-08-16T00:42:49.577+02:00if you give everybody 4 & 5, then you won'...if you give everybody 4 & 5, then you won't be able to differentiate the fabuous ones. That's how I see it.

To me,
5 - fabulous.
4 - very good or great
3 - good, but not great
2 - it has its problems
1 - unwatchable.

For example:
You gave 5/5 to Ingrid Bergman in Autumn Sonata, a performance we both feel is one of the best of all times. And NOW you've given 5/5 to Jennifer Jones in Song of Bernadette... You're putting them on EXACTLY the same level. And I'm curious if 3 months from now you're still gonna feel like Jones matched one of the best of all times. :)Alex Constantinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09940311552608814201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14626381454085139.post-63733502501925028972011-08-15T20:37:12.057+02:002011-08-15T20:37:12.057+02:00How can you give a 3 to a performance you like? :)...How can you give a 3 to a performance you like? :) I mean 3 is so mediocre.
