In 2023, I still find myself watching this again on TCM and getting a dose of pure nostalgia and some hilarious lines. A walk down memory lane with the styles that I shrug to think that I wore this stuff, like those gouchos, that "too short sueded jacket" When "Paula" says that she truly doesn't know "Elliott" well enough to truly dislike him, and proceeds to explain that he's "weird," she's nailed his bizarre habits and rituals and he becomes even more likeable. Then, there's rye rooftop scene which brings out the rare exhibit of my romantic side. An enjoyable movie with a feel good end. Equus was trash which I am sure hurt Burton's chances. Allen had three chances to win, so I doubt they felt that needed to reward him for actor as well. Mastroianni performance was foreign language, and the film only received one other nomination. Travolta was young and his nomination was Fever's only nomination. Dreyfuss's film was well liked in terms of nominations, and his win was also a chance to reward the film.Louis Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07933180959140340196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14626381454085139.post-67987148628980316642011-02-18T16:57:07.387+01:002011-02-18T16:57:07.387+01:00I really liked her but I think Dreyfuss stole the ...I really liked her but I think Dreyfuss stole the show (but I need to re-watch it.
