The Next Year

So the nominees were:
  • Penélope Cruz in Volver
  • Judi Dench in Notes on a Scandal
  • Helen Mirren in The Queen
  • Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada
  • Kate Winslet in Little Children
So is Helen as much of a lock as she was back then or will I give my vote to somebody else?

    This one may be hard to predict, but the consensus is Dench deserved to win usually these days.

    This is a year that I know a lot of people love, but I'm not too fond of. I've seen all but Winslet and my pick would probably be Dench. I have no idea what you'll choose but:

    1. Dench
    2. Cruz
    3. Winslet
    4. Mirren
    5. Streep

    It's probably dangerous putting Helen that low, but....I'm doing it anyways.

    A rich year for sure i would remove cruz for bening in running with scissors

    Finally a year I've seen all of the performances nominated, here's my ranking.

    1. Judi Dench (second best performance of the decade).

    2. Kate Winslet (my favorite of her nominated performances).
    3. Helen Mirren.
    4. Meryl Streep.
    5. Penélope Cruz.

    Hard to predict! I have seen only 3 - Streep, Dench, Winslet - and they are all fantastic!

    Predictions:

    1. Dench
    2. Streep
    3. Mirren
    4. Cruz
    5. Winslet

    Just a hunch. Again, this year is so hard to predict!
