1975
So the nominees were:
- Isabelle Adjani in The Story of Adèle H.
- Ann-Margret in Tommy
- Louise Fletcher in One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest
- Glenda Jackson in Hedda
- Carol Kane in Hester Street
Since I still don't have In America, I'll do this year that's said to be really weak but I haven't seen four of them yeat so it will be very interesting for me, at least.
What do you think? What's your ranking? What do you predict for my ranking?
Harder to predict do to the weakness ascribed to this year, unless you love Fletcher, many do, I don't.
ReplyDelete1. Jackson
2. Fletcher
3. Kane
4. Adjani
5. Margret
Very random.
I think it's Adjani's to lose, I don't really see Margret or Jackson winning. I hope and think you'll like Fletcher.
ReplyDeleteWow, very different opinions and thoughts. :) This one seems to be a polarizing year.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting looking year. I almost watched Ann-Margret's performance last week, and now am mad I didn't because I could have had more to say here. I've only seen Fletcher.
ReplyDeleteI'll toss my hat into the prediction ring (even though I have nothing to base it on):
1. Isabelle Adjani
2. Glenda Jackson
3. Ann-Margret
4. Louise Fletcher
5. Carol Kane
Can I ask you how you saw all these movies?
ReplyDeleteI have zero, nada idea for a ranking but I try anyway:
1. Louise Fletcher
2. Isabelle Adjani
3. Glenda Jackson
4. Carole Kane
5. Ann-Margret
Adjani - the movie is on Youtube
ReplyDeleteJackson - youtube
Kane - stagevu.com
Margret - stagevu.com
I hope I could help. :)

Oh, thanks a lot for the info! I will have some free time the next weeks and hope to catch as many Best Actress nominees as possible!
ReplyDeleteAdjani will probably get it, but I will hold my guns for Glenda, who deserves more praise for her performance here.
ReplyDeleteI AM SO EXCITED THAT YOU ARE DOING THIS YEAR! I always follow this blog. This was not a weak year. There were a couple of strong performances here. Kane was WONDERFUL in Hester Street. Adjani was mindblowing. Fletcher was good.
ReplyDeleteAnon: I'm very glad about it. :)
