The Next Year

1979


So the nominees were:
  • Jill Clayburgh in Starting Over
  • Sally Field in Norma Rae
  • Jane Fonda in The China Syndrome
  • Marsha Mason in Chapter Two
  • Bette Midler in The Rose
A fantastic-looking year. Will I go with the two favorites (Field and Midler) who have tons of fans, will I go with the less popular ladies (Clayburgh and Mason) or will I use the last opportunity to reward my favorite actress?

What do you think? Who's your pick? What's your prediction for my ranking? :)

    I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you won't award Fonda, but I do think she'll beat Midler, even though she was spectacular. This really is a great year, especially those top 3 choices. I can take or leave Clayburgh and Mason, though I can't honestly don't know who should've replaced them, Weaver maybe but then that's 2 nominations for the same role in an original and sequel, though I guess Bing Crosby did that and so did Cate Blanchett. Peter O'Toole did it too I guess though his weren't original and sequel. Anyway enough jibberjabbering.

    Haha, I have very own winner for this year (not nominated). She's one of my favorite actresses. :) I love her.

    Well, Nues20, I actually wanted to do reveal the new method when I write the first review. You'll see, it's nothing special, it just something that helps one avoid rushed decisions. :)
