My ranking of the Best Supporting Actor winners right now

I decided to share this one with you. I have plenty more to go (21 winners and I must re-watch Jim Broadbent's performance because I don't know where to put him) and I'm a bit embarassed, but here's how it looks like right now. It's a bit unusual I know, but this category offers way more surprising performances than one would imagine.

  1. Very intersting list and it's nice to see somebody concentrating on another category than Best Actress (although I am guilty of that myself :-) ).

  2. To tell the truth it was my main goal to give attention to this often forgotten category. There are many interesting performances here.

  4. i agree that michael caine is up there, especially in one of his earlier films. lately he seems to be a token actor to include some cinema royalty or someone from a different generation in blockbusters. that could be seen clearly in this summer's inception, i wrote about it here http://splicedreviews.blogspot.com/2010/08/inception.html

  6. I agree with some of them like Chris Cooper but Melvyn Douglas in Hud is too high in my opinion and Christoph Waltz is way too low. I still have to watch many more (it's the category I've seen less performances of overall).
