So the nominees were:

- Catalina Sandino Moreno in Maria Full of Grace
- Imelda Staunton in Vera Drake
- Hilary Swank in Million Dollar Baby
- Kate Winslet in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
A race with a really unpopular winner and four performances that have tons of fans. We'll see how I'll appreciate these ladies. :)

I LOVE this year. For me, the strongest one I have yet seen. I guess you'll go with Kate and I won't mind because all five of them are very deserving.
It was very surprising when you ranked Kate fifth, that's for sure. :) Usually people go crazy about her. We'll see my reaction. :)
Well, she still got 4,5 from me so even the fith pleace is still very strong.
believe it or not, I've never seen Maria Full of Cocaine... I mean Grace. :) dunno why.
Otherwise, you'll probably go with Imelda or Kate. yes.
I think Kate, you always go for prettiest :)
I don't want to make it a beauty pageant but oh my you're right. LOL There are only 5 exceptions or so. I'd say it's a lucky accident. :D
This one is actually fairly hard to predict.

I hope Staunton wins! I'm sure you'll like Winslet and Moreno (foreign!). I don't know how you'll feel about Swank but she wasn't bad at all! No idea about Bening.

It´s very hard to predict, but I´ll try anyway:

3) Hilary Swank (I hope, because I loved her in MDB)

My ranking would be:

Swank and Staunton are more or less equal to me.
This is definitely my weakest recent year (I've only seen Swank and Winslet). Hilary Swank definitely gets judged WAY too harshly, probably because the strength of the field.
I feel like this is going to be a toughie to predict.

I don't know how to feel about this year. Winslet is electrifying, Bening is divalicious, but Swank bored me a lot.

I think this is the strongest year of the past decade, and predict the ranking is very difficult.

This will be between Rose DeWitt Bukater and Dolores Umbridge. The others may slipped higher but for now I raised the banners for the brits.
Dazzling Aura: Well, I'll be very surprised if neither of them wins.
I hope Imelda Staunton wins; she's always been my personal pick for this year, with Kate Winslet, who was also her usual great, in second place.
